From June 21 to June 30, 2019, the Republic of Belarus will become a host of the 2nd European Games – international multi-sport competitions among athletes of the European continent, which are
held every four years under the direction of the European Olympic Committees. Within the 2nd European Games, competitions will be held in 15 sports, 8 of which will become qualifying to the
Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo. Within the Games, 4,000 athletes are expected to arrive to Minsk, the Belarusian capital to compete in 200 medal Events.
During the European Games there will be shown the International Exhibition Project “EUROPEAN GAMES IS EUROPEAN ART” organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Center for Contemporary Art.
A unique international project “EUROPEAN GAMES IS EUROPEAN ART” includes two expositions. At the “SPORT IS HIGH ART” Exhibition the framework of several participating countries of the II European Games demonstrate their achievements in the art of photography, sculpture, video art and poster on the theme of sports. As a representative of Germany, my picture "36 to go" from the Düsseldorf Marathon 2018 is exhibited there.
